Ingredients You’ll Need
- Vegan Cheese – I like using cashew cheese by Nuts for Cheese. A vegan cheddar cut into cubes would work nicely as well. Keep in mind that not all vegan cheeses taste great eaten right from the package. Some other brands that I really enjoy on Violife, Chao, and Miyoko’s.
- Vegan Deli Meat – I love using the vegan pepperoni by Yves, it’s so good and a popular choice among kids. Vegan ham or turkey would be tasty as well. Another fun vegan protein option would be adding some vegan jerky or cubed smoked tofu.
- Crackers & Chips – What kid doesn’t love crackers and chips?! I like to include two different types of crackers and one variety of chips. I used Simple Mills Sea Salt Almond Flour Crackers and Mary’s Gone Seed Crackers. You could also use Ritz or Triscuits. I like to include veggie/bean chips they add a nice colour and crunch. Here I used Simply 7 Bean Pops.
- Fresh Fruit – Strawberries, blueberries, grapes, nectarines, and green apples are all kid friendly choices. But feel free to add whatever fruit is in season. Raspberries, blackberries, mandarin oranges, melons, pineapple, and kiwi are all good options to include.
- Fresh Vegetables – Crunchy cucumbers slices and rainbow carrot sticks are fun to dip in vegan ranch. Mini bell peppers, grape tomatoes, celery, pickles, and olives are popular choices to add as well.
- Dips & Nut Butter – Kids are more likely to eat their fruits and vegetables if there is a flavourful dip. I love to include vegan ranch dressing for dipping with vegetables and a nut butter for dipping with apple slices. Some other dip options you could include are hummus or a fruity yogurt dip.
- Sweet Treats – I love adding the granola bites from Made Good, they make the perfect bite sized popable snack. Vegan white chocolate chips from Enjoy Life are a super fun treat to add as well.

How To Assemble A Charcuterie Board
*Step by Step video tutorial is down below in the recipe card*
Grab a large wooden cutting board, serving tray, large platter, or rimmed baking/cookie sheet, you don’t need anything fancy just use what you already have at home. The size of board that I used is 13 x 11 inches.
Start by placing your vegan cheese, deli meats, and any small bowls on to the board first.
Next add in your crackers, fruits, vegetables, and sweet treats to fill the rest of the areas on the board.
You will probably have extra of each item so set those aside and you can refill the board as needed.

Recipe Tips & Notes
- Use small round bowls or ramekins for your dips/nut butters as well as any dry ingredients you don’t want to get wet.
- To make your board bright and colourful, choose a mix of different textured items and fruits/vegetables. We all know that we eat with our eyes first, so having an array of different coloured fruits and vegetables will get your kid’s interested.
- Have fun assembling this board, get the kid’s involved and include all their favourite foods and you will create a board that they will love.

Keep in mind that the larger the board the more food you will need to prepare.
Yes you can, arrange everything on the board except for any dry items like crackers (up to a few hours before you plan to serve). Wrap in plastic wrap and place in the fridge until ready to serve.
